velt is a research initiative promoting the use of slow design amongst Stellenbosch University students. Their aim is to educate students on designs role in the production of consumption through tactile engagement.

velt used natural and environmentally friendly materials and processes as a visual metaphor for slow design. They hosted workshops teaching these materials and educating students on how to practically introduce the slow design principles into their practice.
